ABOUT US
ARTS IN TAGUIG CITY, launched on April 13, 2009, was the result of two years of negotiations between several of the Bonifacio Global City companies, the board of trustees of Ballet Philippines and key members of Tanghalang Pilipino and the Philippines Madrigal Singers.
The idea of opening a school for the arts in Taguig was conceptualized by Fernando Josef (then Vice President and Artistic Director of the CCP, presently Artistic Director of Tanghalang Pilipino and Director of the Philippine High School for the Arts), Sandy Hontiveros (then Executive Director of Ballet Philippines, presently Executive Director of ATC) and Noel Kintanar (Head of Commercial Operations, BGC) in 2007.
After receiving the approval of Ballet Philippines’ Chairman Antonio O. Cojuangco, then President Maan Hontiveros, the Board of Trustees and all the Bonifacio Global City companies, the idea finally became ARTS IN TAGUIG CITY.
ATC is made up of performers and teachers of Ballet Philippines, Tanghalang Pilipino, the Philippine Madrigal Singers and professionals from the arts community for dance, music, theater and the visual arts. We have spacious dance studios, music rooms for piano, voice, guitar and other instrumental lessons, a gallery for exhibits and meetings, and the newly inaugurated FVR Hall for events and intimate performances.
ATC offers courses in various genres of the arts for people of all ages.
With the whole-hearted support of our generous patrons and donors and the commitment of our resident companies and faculty to providing the best education in the arts that our students deserve, ATC promises to be the center for teaching, showcasing, and furthering the arts in this city.
